Established in 1990 by brothers Chong Hon Shiong and Chong Hon Keong, S&K Electrical Engineering commenced its operations modestly, repairing motors from the confines of their backyard. Their collective efforts and dedication led to the company's growth, prompting a move to a small workshop along Jurong Port Road. For two years, the brothers honed their expertise in motor repair before relocating to a larger unit in Woodlands, where the company has since been based.

This included sourcing high-quality materials such as premium copper wires from the UK and advanced coil winding machines from the USA. Additionally, an expanded fleet of vehicles enabled efficient nationwide pickup and delivery services, while streamlining repair processes to ensure both speed and quality remained uncompromised.
